The hood isn’t the type you wear under a helmet, but with the hood, the jacket can be a fully functional jacket on the street as well as on the bike. The jacket includes a removable hood, which is detachable. With the main zipper open some, and with the sleeve zips open, you could flow some decent air to get you through spring and fall, but it won’t be comfortable in really hot temps I’m afraid. It had a vest-type removable thermal liner you can use in the cold, and it also has a couple zip vents on the sleeve ends along with a vent situated in the back for exhaust. ![]() I’d recommend this jacket for colder to mild weather. The main zipper is backed by another overlapping zippered closure to keep water out. The shell is equipped with an integral waterproof liner so you can use it with confidence in the rain. Where the Afterburn looks more dressy, this jacket, with the camo print offers a bit of an off road or outdoorsman look. For example, the shell material used in this jacket is thicker feeling and more stiff and tough feeling and is comparable to other well armored sport textile jackets and the Afterburn has a softer and more flexible feel. This jacket is a bit more “heavy duty” though and will withstand a bit more rugged use. The Flare 2 jacket functionally is very similar to the Afterburn H2O jacket, also new for 2020. It’s a waterproof textile style available in both men’s and women’s sizes and colors, although the Camo Black/Grey color can be bought in either men’s or women’s so there is one color choice for couples who want to match. This jacket has distinctive sport/camo styling. The Flare 2 Jacket by REVIT is another new street jacket for the 2020 lineup.
